I Meant "Albay"

Here I am. Finally opening my own blog for my personal adventures and experiences.
So after all the ventures I have made, I finally put a foot down and decided to write about
everything that caught and will catch my attention until the day I decide to stop or whatever.

So what will be my first post about? hmmmm. So many ideas running in my mind...

Ok! I want my first post in this new blog to be about my four years present experience with my hometown Albay and the past differences that made an impression during my four year slumber in this humble province that I am proud to call "The Growing Tiger."

As shown on the picture I took last November (2011), the improvement I have to say is  nothing short of marvelous. A decade ago, the spot where I took the picture proved to have its difficulty to ordinary people who was just out for an early morning drive. The thing is all the those lights, bridge and even the road did not exist yet.

The good old festivals. Ah yes. Every Filipino is at home with these types of celebrations. Albay in particular celebrates festivals like it was a part of ordinary day to day life. Back then, it was just a handful of festivals but now with the evolution and trend of digital photography, everyone seems to cry out for more. Like this picture I took during the Fiesta of Legaspi 2011.

The "hoys!" "Gilid na!" did not stop me from taking the center of the street to snipe this shot as these fascinating bunch of vixens parade the street of Capantawan making the crowd go wild. Hot is the term best used for these situation.

So what is the big hype with this post about "Albay" and the difference before?
Plain and simple. Come here and feel it. Be here and experience it. From Manila it's just an 8hr bus ride. I would recommend Cagsawa Bus Lines if travel by bus and it'll take about 1hr plane ride from Manila to Legaspi.

What is the hype about? Ibalong 2012. Sad I won't be here to cover it again but who knows. Maybe I will. *Crossing fingers indeed.

So for my first post... This is fairly acceptable to commemorate my stay. A lot changed since my last stay here. That was 1999 when I left for greener pasture. Now, I can honestly say "Albay is province you can retire to."
